It was 02 Sep 2018 when I put up this Petition "Bengaluru Needs Trains to Airport - and Fast !!". 12703 Citizens endorsed this Petition during the past 28 months. It was a relentless, determined struggle to convince various authorities that Bengaluru badly needs an OPTION for Airport commute. There were discussions, social media campaigns, media helped a lot, correspondence, and what have you. In 2019, BIAL and SWR came to an understanding and BIAL began building the Halt Station. Today, FIVE Train-pairs have been launched by SWR which effectively provide T2A services from City, Cantonment, Baiyyappanahalli, and Yesvantpura. It is indeed a joyous victory and I thank each one of you for your support for this demand, which has led to a practical option. More people using these services will lead to improvement and enhancement of services and coverage. Once again, THANK YOU ALL :)
