Add the Prince symbol as an official unicode glyph
The Issue
While the Unicode specification contains many amusing and occasionally useful emoji glyphs (tacos, piles of poo, multiple cat faces, etc), there is a striking omission: the glyph representing The Artist Formerly and then Subsequently Known as the Late Prince Rogers Nelson.
In honor of his astonishing contributions to pop culture over the last 40 years, and in hope of bringing long overdue relief to the various web publishers who have been forced to contort themselves by embedding PNGs of the "Prince Symbol" into otherwise all-text documents, we call upon the Unicode Consortium to do the right thing and add the Purple One's symbol into the already large group of "glyphs our great grandchildren will puzzle over."
