I don't know about you - but nothing in this world annoys more than a hypocrite! Someones who's words do not equate to their action. The administrator of the Lake Worth Local Facebook page is a hypocrite. She proclaims and boasts about having the City of Lake Worth Beach community and its residents welfare and best interests in mind and heart! I believe from her actions regarding my request for assistance in spreading the Petition - that is not the case at all - it seems to be all smoke and mirrors to collect followers and clicks on her page! It is clear from our conversation this morning, which you can read for yourself (below) and draw you own conclusion, that she is protecting the Board of Commissioners and has no interest in being involves in anything negative or calling them out for their lack of action on our behalf! I think this is appalling and I believe you should all be aware of who she is and who her loyalties belong to - It is clearly not you and I - but you can determine that for yourself - Read on! This is our conversation from this morning.

Respectfully Tammy - I see what you are doing here -,slowing me down - without actually shutting me down - very politically correct! BUT - it leaves me questioning your loyalties. I was under the impression you loved this community and would fight to protect it. I am doing just that, trying to find a viable solution to address this very critical issue, to avert the impending crisis. The decisions the City Board are making, regarding LWU are going to destroy this community as we know it and ruin peoples lives for ever! So my question to you is - Are you interested in saving our fair Community and the people you claim to advocate for or protecting the City Commissioners? This is no longer a nuisance issue that can be dismissed. This is becoming a real life full blown crisis! Nobody wants to see the same thing reposted again and again. So you made a petition. Great. What’s next? What new things have you found out? What research have you done. Stop these blame-y private messages.

There is no continued conversation because by reposting the same thing over and over again it’s like reading the first page of a book again and again. You’re diluting yourself…. Same post, but you’re not bumping up the old post so people can find the old conversation and keep on going. I see you posting on OTHER people’s posts. They get comments because it’s something NEW. You’re being clunky with your approach by reposting the same thing again and again. A reporter does not post the same story every day…. At least not successful ones.

 PUBLIC SERVICE POST IMPORTANCE OF AIR CONDITIONING SERVICE I WOULD LIKE TO BEGIN THIS POST WITH THIS MISSION STATEMENT! MY INTENTION IS NOT TO DIS-RESPECT OR LAY BLAME ON ANYONE! Air Conditioning service may not apply to everyone – BUT – there is some percentage of us that can and will be affected and it will increase our electric bills. Many of us feel we are saving money ($100 to $200 per year) NOT performing regular A/C service. The money we think we are saving, may very well be costing some of us $50 - $100 per month – depending on how inefficiently our A/C unit is running! REMEMBER -The more inefficient a unit is running – the more it must run to achieve the desired temperature. Think about it - with the A/C unit being the highest electric draw item in most households – this can add up quickly, especially during the summer months! This is a true story and hopefully it will open up some minds as to A\C service and its importance! After reviewing my May and June electrical service invoices, I noticed and substantial increase in actual kWh (usage) charged for two months in a row. With that – I called LWU to come and replace my meter and review and check the calibration and of operation of the replaced meter. After that inspection, LWU reported back that there were no deficiencies found in the replaced meter. This caused me to investigate further, so I checked the output at the delivering registers and found that my unit was only producing a discharge temperature of 64 deg. F. A properly functioning A/C unit will produce a discharge temperature of approx. 52 deg. F. Mind you the unit seemed to be running – just fine – with the exception – that is was running twice as long to achieve the desired room temperature of 79 deg. F – which is where I keep my thermostat set. This additional running time causes more run time and a higher kWh usage! This additional run time will also affect the Power Cost Adjustment charge – as it is calculated off of the actual kWh usage. It is my hope that this information will help some of you reduce your excessive electric bills!
