Statement issued by the Palestinian Union of Social Workers

The Palestinian Union of Social Workers and Psychologists (PUSWP) has issued a statement on the arrest of Palestinian Social Worker Munther Amira, a former general secretary of PUSWP. The PUSWP, together with the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) and its Human Rights Commission, joined by an increasing number of other national social work associations, are calling for Munther’s immediate release. They call on all national social work organizations to participate actively in the international campaign for solidarity to release Munther Amira. They stress the justice of their cause and the rights of the Palestinian people. They call for the immediate release of our social work colleague, Munther Amira.
