Our dear PM Modi Ji,

When you came to power last year in May , we were hopeful of your promise of SAB KA SAATH, SAB KA VIKAAS. You spoke at lenght of how your government will consider minority rights and work for their welfare. You vowed to do equal justice to all and have a responsibility towards all its citizens, irrespective of their religion caste creed or even social status.

The recent beef ban in Maharashtra , Haryana, Chattisgarh and J&K is a stain on our great democracy and Constitution. It specifically not just targets minorities and their religious freedom but also this unjust ban will leave Lakhs of butchers unemployed further increasing the illiteracy in their younger generation.
Constitutionally speaking, between the law that prohibits beef consumption to support Hindu sentiments and the fundamental right to religious freedom, it is the latter that is more important and shall prevail.

Honorable Prime Minister, repeatedly reasserting your party's commitment to secularism, yet supporting the unjust beef ban law is extremely contradictory in itself.

We  kindheartedly request you to please save the secular image of India and immediately scrap all such partial bans favoring a certain community. An unjust law is no law at all. And a country without equal law for all is a threat to itself. Considering your stature and commitment to serve all Indians equally, hopefully you will not let us down.
