Today we are at over 170000+ signatures. We need it to gather pace to ensure our voices are heard. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also reached out to other global leaders such as Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and French President Emmanuel Macron, asking them to back our demand to waive patents on these life-saving drugs.
Scientists claim that despite India providing 60% of the UNICEF’s vaccines, when it comes to Covid vaccines, we are just producing about 1/5 of the global supply. Waiving patents could speed up this process of producing more vaccines, reducing the cost and making it more affordable to all.

India needs vaccines right now. Many low-income nations are suffering too. Sadly, a group of developed countries are refusing to let go of the patents i.e exclusive rights, to produce vaccines.
