I can now confirm that the 'Holy Sexuality Conference' has been cancelled. Well done! In just 18 hours, over 40,000 people signed the petition and the Seventh Day Adventist Church was forced to cancel the event. It's fabulous news that this happened so fast and is no doubt due to the huge public outcry. Unfortunately, today another similar conference did take place in London. It is clear that we need Government regulation to prevent these events happening in the future. Last week President Obama spoke out against 'gay conversion' therapy and I believe it needs to be outlawed here in the UK too. This petition has sent a clear message that these events are not welcome in the UK. I hope the future British Government will deny visas to those who want to promote gay conversion therapy and hate to the LGBTI community.
