No extension to article 50: Leave the EU as a free Nation on WTO rules & grow a pair!

The Issue

Prime Minister Theresa May suffered a humiliating loss in the Commons as her Brussels-approved deal lost by 230 votes. MPs voted by 432 votes to 202 to reject the deal, a far bigger landslide than had been expected (or was it).

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz tweeted: "I regret the outcome of the Brexit vote in the British lower house in London. In any case there will be no renegotiation of the withdrawal agreement."

Based on the leaving date of March 2019 and the unwillingness of the EU to offer an acceptable compromise, the only option remaining that will uphold the outcome of the referendum is to leave the EU as set out in the withdrawal act; without a deal in place.

Further political posturing and delay tactics only damages the reputation of the UK and provides uncertainty for British firms. It is the responsibility of the Government to uphold the outcome of the referendum and grasp this once in a lifetime opportunity to be a free Nation and reap the rewards that accompany this status. Therefore we must abandon any negotiations on a deal and concentrate on post Brexit Britain.
