Thank you to everyone that has signed so far. Every hour more and more countries are jumping on the Ban-SA bandwagon. This means that even more families will be apart for Christmas. All a result of the knee-jerk reaction from the UK.

South Africa is being penalized for alerting the rest of the world to a new variant. South Africa identified, studied and isolated the variant because of our sophisticated infectious diseases unit. The new variant now known as Omicron is already all over the world, we simply identified it ahead of everyone else.

This does not mean the new variant originated in South Africa.
