I am an essential worker that is required to take lateral flow tests once a week for my job. However, a read of the Covid 19 self test ingredients confirm that the swabs are coated in ethylene oxide. Exposure to ethylene oxide can cause diarrhoea, cancer, breathing difficulties, drowsiness, seizures, exhaustion, eye burns, frostbite, headaches, irritation to the eyes, nose, throat and lungs, memory loss, miscarriages, numbness, reproductive effects, nausea, skin burns, vomiting and weakness. Yet such a deadly substance is being put up peoples noses and in their mouth whenever they take a Covid test. If people don’t die of Covid , other illnesses will rise, if this chemical is not removed from Covid 19 tests. We are meant to be trying to keep NHS hospital beds protected, and yet the Covid test is coated in a substance that can make you sick . How are people going to have faith  if even the Covid 19 test isn’t safe ? This is a problem for every single person who is taking a Covid test , either for testing to see if they have Covid , or as part of job safety. The Covid 19 test needs to be made safer for people if we want people to be healthy and not develop cancer or other problems down the line. Otherwise the words “Protect the NHS” will have been in vain.
