The selling/Giving away of animals like Cats/Dogs and rabbits on social sites like Gumtree and Shpock is morally irresponsible of these companies. No checks are made on the conditions they are in and no checks are made on the people that buy the animals. The majority of these cats end up as bait for dog fighting. It’s time it was made illegal to get rid of unwanted pets on these sites. It should be law that they are taken to rescue centres where proper checks are made both to the animals and to the people taking them on and punishable by courts if this is not adhered to.
