Stand up for the dogs and change the law to apply the Animal Welfare Act 2006 everywhere.

After such amazing support from our campaign to North Kesteven District Council we are inspired to launch a bigger campaign to get to the root of the problem.
And that is the law.
A recent campaign against a large breeding establishment in Lincolnshire was taken to the high courts where a judge ruled that the Animal Welfare Act 2006 did not need to be considered when granting a breeding licence.
Former Labour MP Ian Cawsey disagreed. "As a member of parliament in 2006 when the Animal Welfare Act was passed, I absolutely know that parliament thought they were voting for a level playing field for all animals."
The law needs to insist that the Animal Welfare act of 2006 IS taken into consideration when granting a breeding licence.
It needs to ensure that large breeding establishments have a reasonable staff to dog ratio to ensure that all dogs have access to all five the freedoms.
They need a break from the kennel environment everyday
Their environment needs to change
They need shorter time in kennels
They need better socialisation
They need better healthcare
They need the freedom to just be dogs.
It should not be as easy to buy a living and vulnerable animal as it is to buy a handbag.
This law has not been changed since 1973
It is time for a change
We are a nation of animal lovers, lets show them what that means.
We need to reach 100,000 supporters to get this discussed at parliament. If we can reach 10,000 in 2 days we CAN do this.
We need your help, Sign share and then share again.
This needs to happen.
