Scrap the UK TV Licence

Scrap the UK TV Licence
The Issue
The UK television licence is no longer a viable or fair means of funding UK programming. The BBC, like other public broadcaster Channel 4, should be funded via advertising and government grants. By charging a licence fee, we further attack the poorest in society, hindering their ability to have important access to news, and other media platforms. By removing the fee, not only will the poorest in society be helped, but our programming will become a more unbiased and politically neutral form of information. TV licencing is an outdated concept! And £150.50 is an extortionate price to pay for the privilege of one, of hundreds of channels.
