Since the BJP political party has been in power in India, fueled by RSS hindutva supremacist ideology, intolerance and hate crimes against minority religious groups such as Muslims, Christians and Sikhs in India have increased, to an unprecedented level.  Day by day we see the fundamental rights of minority groups diminishing, and crimes against them increasing on an exponential level.  

We are seeing minorities being refused health care on the grounds of religion.  Many such cases came recently where pregnant muslim women were refused delivery in hospitals, on the grounds of faith. 

We are seeing family homes of minorities being bulldozed, as punishment to the whole family for allegations against an individual. We are seeing bulldozer prosecution of muslim family homes, when an individual man in the family has come into a relationship with a Hindu woman. This notion is labelled 'Love Jihad' by these hate groups. These actions are carried out by under the cover of the government and police protection.  We are seeing minorty homes bulldozed for being within a certain circumference of a hindu temple or a proposed new temple.   

Many groups under different names, mainly Bajrang Dal , RSS and VHP,  who proscribe to the hateful supremacist hindutva ideology, are increasingly carrying out ceremonies openly bandishing guns and swords, calling it a weopons worship, instilling fear into minority groups, whilst muslims are arrested for holding up posters saying I Love Muhammed.  There has been a huge crackdown on muslims that have held peaceful ceremonies in commemorating prophet Muhammed, whilst hate groups bandishing weapons are freely promoted to carry these ceremonies out.   

We see many cases of minority businesses targetted by these supremacist hate groups, under the protection of the police.  Places of worship are target's of hate crimes, and there has been cases of mosques being demolished. 

We recently saw a convict by the name of Bhavesh Patel, who was given life sentences for bombing a muslim shrine in Ajmer in 2007, killing three people, climb a historical mosque in Bharuch under the protection of police, whilst muslims watched on helplessly deeply hurt. 

We call on human rights groups, media organisations and social media influencers, political groups to bring these matters to light and act in defending the rights of minorities in India.  Rights of minorities are being diminished, hate crimes increasing, dehumanisation, labelling, and we all know which direction this moves.
