At the moment in the UK the majority of animal welfare laws come from the EU. The UK government is tasked with adopting the EU animal welfare laws.

More and more scientists have proved that ALL animals have intelligence and emotions. Theresa May said that the UK is a world leader in animal welfare,but how is this so if the government do not allow all animals to be treated the same regardless of whether or not they are domestic pets post Brexit?

EU law states that animal testing is illegal, but by going ahead with this decision this may be scrapped in the UK post Brexit. Animals could be used in laboratories to test products with no regard for their pain and suffering,farming regulations could become less,and the hunting of animals reintroduced.

The UK government MUST commit to save non domestic animals from suffering once we leave the EU in 2019.
