Today a man in Lancashire was given a disgusting sentence of just 18 weeks in prison for beating a dog to death. The dog had over 25 rib fractures, a ruptured windpipe and experts in this case said that the dog had suffered so many fractures over his body they were unable to determine exactly how many! Sadly the dog succumbed to his injuries.
How can taking a life be looked at so leniently!
This must change.
A life is a life and if this man was capable of doing this to a dog what to stop him doing this to a human.
I want to have the whole system of sentencing for these awful crimes against defenceless animals reviewed so this that do this cowardly act can be held accountable.
