We've got great news! Our MP Siobhan Baillie will be debating our petition on Tuesday 17th November at 11am. We are thrilled.

But we still need your help. PLEASE can you email your MP and let them know about the debate, and ask for their support. There's a template below you can use to make it as simple as possible for you. It should only take a couple of minutes, but would make such a difference to us.

Thank you so much for your support up to this point - we couldn't have got this far without you.

Let's continue to push for a positive change!

Thanks

Sebby, his family, and Siobahn

Here's the template

Dear XXXX

I am writing to you to raise awareness of a campaign I have been following about a young disabled boy from Stroud who had a terrible experience at a popular theme park.

5-year-old Sebby and his family were visiting a popular theme park in Windsor, as a treat following Sebby’s recovery from 4 operations in 7 months. Whilst attending the theme park, Sebby and his family were told they had to leave his wheelchair and walk three steps, twice, so that he could access an age appropriate ride, in front of everyone in the queue.

Following the poor treatment the family faced at the Park, Sebby’s family posted about the experience on Facebook. They were contacted by a large number of families with disabled children who had faced similar poor experiences when visiting a variety of leisure and activity centres.

The family were shocked by the amount of correspondence they received in support of the family and subsequently they have set up a petition for fairer access at leisure venues for disabled people, which can be viewed here: https://www.change.org/Sebbys_Adventure .

Sebby’s local MP, Siobhan Baillie will be taking this petition for debate at the Houses of Parliament in November and have put in for a Westminster Hall debate on this matter on Tuesday 17th November at 11am. I very much hope you will support her in this important issue.

Her office are more than happy to discuss this with you and can be contacted at siobhan.baillie.mp@parliament.uk.

I really hope that I can count on your support to ensure that children with disabilities can access fun.

My postal address is: XXXX (you need this for the MP to know your are in their area, they often won’t respond without it)

Kind regards,
