We have had some very positive news when the office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, North Yorkshire contacted us via Twitter to arrange a meeting to voice our concerns of the current police complaints system. We are going to meet her to discuss the best way forward for all victim of crime who make a complaint to North Yorkshire Police. Not only are we putting forward our proposals we are going to give her victims experiences and how they were treated from reporting and through the complaints system. If you would like us to hand in your evidence please email it to me matilda12@live.co.uk. We can not take anonymous letters and you MUST be aware that people will be able to see what you have written at the meeting. So if you want it to be fully confidential it cannot be. If you want us to take your letter to the meeting please email it with your name and a concise format of your experiences and why you believe you were failed and/or procedures, P.A,C.E guidelines were not adhered to. We have had an enormous response and the signers are going up daily so please keep it no longer then 1-2 A4 pages and if possible in bullet points so it's easy to digest. We are all frustrated and want to tell our own story but we need change for all and a future fairer system so we need to build a picture of what the reality is for victims. We are hoping to meet Police and Crime Commissioners from all over the country so updates will be put on the petition when we are going to other areas. Thank You.
