We have already tabled amendments in the House of Commons to extend the Hillsborough Law Campaign to ensure that no politician can deliberately deceive the public
This afternoon our measures were discussed in the House of Lords. I sat in the chamber listening to the speeches and want to share with you those made by Barnett Jenny Jones of the Green Party and Lord Knight of Labour, both members of the Compassion In Politics APPG.
They could not have made the case more convincingly and passionately.

This week the House of Lords debated whether politicians should be excluded from a new offence of “misleading the public”.
