And yet another sex scandal in Westminster with a Tory MP resigning over a honeytrap. 

The headlines continue to make grim reading for anyone who cares about politics. Ordinary values like honesty continue to be far too absent. 

Thanks to your support we are working hard to get that changed and to get lying in politics, government or public services banned once and for all. 

You can’t lie in other jobs, so why should it be ok in politics? The simple answer is it shouldn’t.

That’s why we’re continuing to work hard to change the law to make it an offence for politicians to deliberately lie. 

And, we’re making headway. Later this month, politicians in Wales will debate the bill that we helped draw up that would make lying in politics illegal. We believe this is the first time any national parliament in the world will take such a step. 

What’s more, if Wales passes the bill other countries may follow and the pressure on Westminster politicians to clean up their act will get even stronger.
