Friend,
Don’t let them stop you from voting.
In the elections on Thursday 2 May (next week), you now need a valid form of photo ID to vote, such as a passport or driving licence. The bad news? Not everyone has one.
The good news? You can get a free photo ID, but you need to apply right now, as the deadline is 5pm today.

Keep reading if you live in London:
In London, the election will be EXTREMELY close. Polling suggests that the new photo ID rules could exclude 15% of Londoners from voting—easily enough to swing an election. That worries me.
All of these essential issues are on the ballot:
⚫ Free school meals
⚫ Keeping TfL fares low
⚫ Building council homes
⚫ Ending homelessness
⚫ Delivering rent controlled homes
⚫ Investing in youth clubs
⚫ London's values of diversity and openness
We simply cannot let London slip backwards. We need to come out in big numbers next week.
Get your free voter ID right now, and if you already have a valid form of ID, forward this email to your friends and family. The introduction of voter ID is an egregious attack on voting rights, and we cannot allow it to prevent people from voting. Not now, not ever.
Thank you in advance,
Mete
