Demanding a Royal Commission into vivisection

Demanding a Royal Commission into vivisection
The Issue
In 1997 New Labour won an election with the help of pledges that were aimed at gaining votes from animal rights supporters. They published a leaflet called 'New Labour, New Life for animals'. Among their promises was a Royal Commission to look into the area of animal experiments.
They were held to account by the actions of Animal Liberation activist, prisoner and hunger striker Barry Horne who staged multiple hunger strikes (while serving an outrageous 18 year prison sentence for non-violent animal rights/anti-vivisection actions), the longest of which lasted 68 days which was demanding New Labour carry out it's pre-election promise, which they refused to do.
Barry died from the effects of this hunger strike.
To date there has still never been a thorough official investigative scientific analysis into the cruel, unnecessary and scientific fraud of vivisection.
That a man had to die to ask for this; a study, that has still yet, never been carried out.
We ask that there be a full and published, official and scientific open inquiry into the use of 3,401,517 animals in vivisection in the UK in 2019 and every year.
We demand a Royal Commission into animal experiments in the UK.
