Bleue was meant to come home today but he was never returned by the police
Hello everybody,
So it’s been a long while since I have updated on anything regarding this as I had still up to yesterday heard nothing regarding my gorgeous boy Bleue.
I got home from work yesterday early evening to a letter which had been clearly hand delivered through my letter box into the shared hall at the property, the letter was open! Had my address however no postcode and a stamp which had never been stamped thus leading me to believe it had been delivered by hand!
The letter was from Nottinghamshire Police advising me that they had been trying to contact me regarding Bleue and it had been decided that he would be returned home prior to the courts making their decision on the case long term due to Bleue not dealing well with kennel environment which had caused him to start chewing his own tail off! Which As you all can imagine I was ecstatic to say the least my dog was finally being returned home after 3 long months of being kennelled and wrongly accused.! Me and my daughter were over the moon. However I was very concerned about Bleues welfare and the fact he had been that distressed in there he started to chew his own tail off due to the stress kennels had caused him. I needed answers!
First thing I did was call the officer who was dealing with the case, you know the same officer who had stated he had never worked a dog case and didn’t know the ins and outs of what happens! My call never got answered so I left a Voicemail asking for a call back to arrange Bleues return as this was what was categorically stated in the letter for me to do ‘call him to arrange Bleues return ASAP’! I called again 10-15 mins later however this time the officers phone was switched off which I found a bit strange baring in mind he had just started his shift at 10pm! And I called shortly just after this time!
I thought ok I will call straight away in the morning again as I should be able to get an answer then so off we went to bed so happy and our hearts feeling whole again knowing Bleues time to come home was finally here where he can get back to his surroundings, he will be able to heal his tail and will be smothered with an abundant amount of love and warmth from us just as he always had been.
Today 29/09/2018 arrived and the first thing I did was call the police officers number AGAIN only for him to not answer Again! I called again seconds later and weirdly his phone was OFF. So I called 101 got directed to the relevant control room for Nottinghamshire and spoke to a man who clearly couldn’t be arsed to help me! I asked for the officer only to be told he is now on rest day till Thursday and I will have to wait till Thursday to call back again! I refused and told him to get in touch with a dog officer as I’m trying to arrange Bleues return. The man in the control room kept banging on about what he couldn’t do rather than focusing on how he could help me and kept repeating how the officer dealing with the case is entitiled to his days off. In all honesty at that point I couldn’t care less about that irrelevant information he was squeeling about, I just wanted to be directed to someone who could help me. He told me he was going to put me on hold and reach a dog officer and as he put me on hold he terminated the call! I was livid the fact I was gna have to call back and explain this all again to another control room advisor that work for the police who are lacking in empathy and people skills when speaking to the public about serious issues!
Spoke to a woman this time round and she said she would email the dog officer to call me back to arrange bringing Bleue home. Around 9.30am I received a call from the dog officer regarding Bleue, to my surprise he stated they had been trying to contact me for approx 2-3 weeks regarding Bleues return to which my response was I haven’t recalled anybody trying to contact me directly and advised i had previously advised my preferred method of contact which is via text message on my mobile, that way if I do miss a call I will see the message and contact back straight away, I can not retrieve voicemail messages on my phone and how am I supposed to guess if a private number missed call is from the police! It’s ridiculous!
Anyway he explained they had set a voluntary control order allowing Bleue to come home as he wasn’t fairing well with kennel life and in the process had started to chew his own tail off! And would benefit from being in his home environment and how they take the welfare of dogs seriously whilst in there care! Which is to be questioned in my opinion! He advised it would be just after 11am he would be back!
11am has finally arrived and the excitement is killing me and my daughter knowing Bleue is a matter of mins away of being reunited with us finally, the van pulled outside my property just gone 11am and we dashed downstairs eagerly waiting to see his gorgeous little face for the first time in what seemed a lifetime! The officer stepped out the van and made his way over to me and my daughter and handed me the control order form with Bleues release details and conditions on whilst he is back home, and explained Bleues tail had been treated at the vets but just to try not get him too hyperactive so he didn’t hit his tail on anything in case it split! He went back over to the van to grab Bleue out and as he walked over with the dog my heart dropped!
The dog he was bringing over to us WAS NOT MY DOG! i don’t know who’s dog it was, the dog was a sandy colour a staffy called blue But not my Bleue! Me and my daughter kept saying that’s not our dog it’s not Bleue who’s dog is this and where’s my dog? The officer looked shocked embarrassed and by the look on his face he knew a massive mistake had been made on their behalf. He apologised once and said the kennels must of got the dogs mixed up and how there’s loads of dogs called blue in kennels and advised he had to take the dog he brought to my home back to the kennels and told me that dog was the dog who was being returned to its owner! And he didn’t know in regards to my Bleue what was going to now happen! I was distraught my daughter was crushed again all at the hands of the Police causing more distress and alarm to us AGAIN!!
He reassured me he would contact me back after he had taken another dog to the vet anytime after 12pm! I never received a call. I was never contacted back! We were left in tears outside our home for the whole street to see the shambles that had been flung upon us again by the police! The sheer embarrassment and heavy heart was enough! The Dog brought to me was somehow registered under my name clearly and I don’t get how this can even happen! so I wanted to know where my dog was, is he alive? Is he under somebody else’s name aswell? We were humiliated and mugged off again by the Police, not any responsibilitie was taken by the officer, the kennel staff were blamed! He asked me to send a picture of my dog to his email and kept asking what Bleues date of birth was. I didn’t understand why Bleue wasn’t scanned by his microchip when being released as that is all the proof needed that he is my dog!
I tirelessly contacted 101 for what seemed like hours today trying to get info about Bleue and what was going on , the rspca, dogs trust, solicitors, the list is endless. I had to raise a complaint AGAIN against the police after being given legal advice, for what is now the theft of my dog! Bleue had been legally allowed home now by order from the authority’s, I have his release forms and the control order in writing however Bleue still hasn’t been returned back to me as promised so therefore my dog has now been stolen by the police and they refuse to tell me where he is. I am very very worried at this point as This is not a joke anymore, the stress and anxiety this has caused my daughter is unbearable to watch, the lies, the distress and alarm caused to us both, the neglect from the officers and all round blazay attitudes from all members of the police force I have had contact with and experienced is Disgraceful!
When i raised the complaint the woman in the control room was rude, and had a no fucks given attitude which caused me more distress, she told me she didn’t no what was going on with the case but then admitted to discussing and overhearing the conversation that was had by my representative to another woman who works at the control room, this is a breach of my Data Protection and to think that these people are discussing my case between them like it’s a joke is very very worrying.
I am going to have to now take this further and down a route where people will be made accountable for there actions, all the descrepencies and the breach of my personal data will be strongly put to light! The police Will Be held accountable for what they have caused, we have been neglected for being racially targeted on the day of the incident and never helped when promised! we have been victimised, Our Beautiful dog seized held for now 3 months, then Not returned after being given a control order for immediate release by the police, A dog being returned to me that wasn’t my dog! Bleue never being returned , Countless bad experiences when trying to speak with the police for answers! Rude incompetent staff members who clearly don’t have an ounce of empathy! The list is endless.
So guys this is what happened since yesterday 28/09/2018 the min I got that letter is the min we unknowingly were going to be let down again and still no sign of Bleue. Even tho he has been given leave from the kennels he still hasn’t Been returned home and it is the saddest scariest thing ever not knowing what’s happening again and knowing the kennels don’t even no what dog belongs to what owner which was proven by today’s situation that we were subjected to. I am Scared for my Dog!! I just want to say I Really appreciate everyone who has signed This petition I will update again as soon as I have something to update you all with.
