The current Covid-19 pandemic has already stopped the global businesses and the impact it is having and will continue to have on the global economy will be disastrous. 

Historically we have seen that businesses are getting more Chinese centric while the local businesses and economy suffer. We are already aware of the abuse of work force in China and on top Chinese government's lack of ability to crackdown the wet markets which are arguably the source of not only the current Covid-19 pandemic but also a few other virus strains to originate from the country.

The current social distancing and lockdown measures are putting an increasing stress on the businesses and a lot of businesses will fail to survive by the end of the pandemic. 

My request is for the UK government to consciously put a stop on increasing dependency on China and instead pump the local economy to flourish instead. We need to encourage and support local businesses rather than continuing to look at bargain prices products from China which come at a huge human cost in China but also contribute to stifling the local businesses.
