Hariam Barzan and Ayman Barzan were heading to a vacation in Turkey to celebrate the birthday of Hariam. Upon arrival they were interrogated by Turkish officials, in which they were interviewed and placed into custody on July 2nd 2018 under the allegation of Terrorism Propaganda. When this occurred, the family were not made aware of their arrest until numerous days after.
The allegations have been made in relation to Facebook posts which were made 4 years ago
Hariam Barzan is currently studying and aspire to enter the construction industry, and his brother Ayman strives to enter the field of medicine. Hariam Barzan is currently in University and Ayman Barzan is in college. The purpose of the holiday was to celebrate the birthday of Hariam which was on July 1st.
The sister of the brothers was on holiday in Kurdistan, during this time, the brothers remained in the UK in order to complete their studies. Upon completion of their studies, their sister proposed that they meet in Turkey as she has always wanted to visit turkey due to the fantastic beaches and tourism opportunities.
Relatives of the brothers have become very concerned about their safety as they have not been in contact with either of the brothers for nearly a month and a half, along with this, the youngest brother Ayman has just recently turned 18 (May 2018).
The family have recently been made aware of a holiday which takes place in turkey which consequently lead to the brothers being held in custody until September until any action can be taken. This duration of time is too long as the brothers will be un able to proceed with their studies.
They have committed NO offence in Turkey.
Both brothers are being held pending investigation and court date.
THEY ARE BOTH INNOCENT
