Less then an hour ago this was "Confirmed" by Martin Lewis' sources...

However we directors NEED to keep working in the months ahead in most cases to pay suppliers, fulfil what orders we have, get our accounts in order, prepare a business plan for the bank, wrestle with debt collectors ++

Therefore this benefit is useless for directors/owners if we get the funds now and then in 6 months time HMRC say: oh you did a few Facebook posts promoting your business, or you did some networking or updated your website during that period and so that's "working" therefore we're going to suck all of that money back.

Plus is it a coincidence that the powers that be have only confirmed it now with 2 working days in March to go? Perhaps knowing that 99% of all directors who have been affected by this outbreak have been working their butts off all of March talking to their accountants, re-doing budgets, trying to change marketing methods and delivery of service to serve the home-based as in WORKING (not eligible for furloughed status) and so all exempt from at least 1 month of the 3 months of support that all schemes cover?

And yes the above scheme is based on PAYE and so those who paid themselves only or in part in dividends are still being screwed.

So our fight goes on!!!
