Make Horticulture and animal care a GCSE

The Issue

Horticulture and animal care lessons are a great way of learning. They help to improve student's understanding of the keeping of animals and how they should be treated. It provides valuable life skills and information that can be used almost anywhere in life. But here's the catch,

1. It is not an option in the majority of schools around the country

2. In the few schools where it is an option, It provides no official GCSEs or qualifications. This can put off employers, and therefore students that are interested in taking the subject.

If enough people sign this petition, it will change things for the better. We could be seeing a change in the curricular activities that are nationally provided and since many people love working with animals, we could see the future careers of students take to the skies. It's up to You, sign this petition, spread the word, let it come to the attention of the UK Gov, or leave doors closed that can lead to magical places.
