The bill for the ratification of the Istanbul Convention has moved onto the next stage of the process in ratification. It will go for a Third Reading in Parliament on 24th February 2017. We need 100 MPs to show up on this day and vote to be one step closer to the UK having the most progressive legislation on violence against women and girls. The vote is on a Friday and in the middle of Brexit talks so we need as many people as possible to contact their MPs. We know we can achieve this because on the 16th December 2016 for the second reading of the Bill 135 MPs showed up to vote. So we can do it again, with your help! Voting for this law will help to secure vital protection from violence for women and girls across the UK. Have you asked your MP to show up and vote? Here’s how you do it: http://icchange.co.uk/take-action-and-change-herstory/ You could #ChangeHerstory in a two minutes. We really need your support on this so please visit www.icchange.co.uk/PMB and help make 2017 a year to remember. Anna, Meg and the IC Change Team
