U.S. President Obama gave a shout out to the IC Change campaign and our very own Becca Bunce at a Town Hall meeting on Saturday! Tune in here and listen from the 12:34 mark. >> http://bit.ly/1Tt1AWl
Obama stood in front of a room full of people, and a nation behind their TVs, to say that the work we are doing together to end violence against women and girls is important and inspiring. We think everyone who is a part of this movement for a safer world is impressive. But we need to make sure more and more of us call on the UK Government to get serious about ending violence against women and girls.
Will you ask your friends and family to sign this petition too? https://www.change.org/p/uk-government-get-serious-about-ending-violence-against-women
With Obama on board, now is the time to keep the pressure on our leaders in the UK. We need to work together and encourage the Government to ratify the Istanbul Convention and end violence against women and girls.
The more people who join, the more we can make sure we build on Obama’s momentum!
