As you may have seen in the news last week, the world's biggest ever four-day week pilot has now come to an end - and the results are in!

92% of companies who took part in the pilot program (involving 61 companies and 2,900 employees) are continuing with a 4 day week at the end of it.

Why? Because businesses found that when they implemented a four-day week:

Staff were happier:

• 54% of workers felt they had greater work-life balance.
• Employees saved huge amounts on childcare costs and reported greater life satisfaction.

The workforce was energised and creative:

• Stress and burnout both significantly declined, with 71% of employees reporting lower levels of burnout.
• Positive mental health increased by 43% and positive emotion at work increased by 64%.

Which means that…

Productivity grew:

• 55% of employees reported an increase in their ability at work.
• The vast majority of companies were satisfied that business performance and productivity was maintained.

Revenue grew:

• Revenue rose by 1.4% during the trial and by 35% compared to the same period in 2021.

Businesses attracted and retained talent:

• During our pilot scheme, resignations dropped by 57%
• 63% of businesses also found it easier to attract and retain talent after moving to a four-day week.
