It has recently come to the attention of students and alumni of the globally-recognized University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign that our beloved Kams, at 618 E. Daniel Street has been sold by long-time owner, Eric Meyer. To prevent the continued gentrification and erasure of the Urbana-Champaign community and the University of Illinois as a whole, we would like to bring the historic importance of Kams to the attention of both state and national government officials. We hope that this petition will protect a long-standing landmark for years to come.
