Ruth Nankabirwa, apologise to diasporans.

The Issue

Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu, current Chief Government Whip in the Ugandan Cabinet, while on national TV on Thursday the 6th June in Kampala, said that  “people leave this country to go abroad and wash dogs”.

Ugandan Diasporans beseech the Speaker of Parliament of Uganda, to cause Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa to apologise for her unfortunate utterances on National Television, in which she referred to us all as "Dog Washers".

Not that dog washing isn't a reasonable job, but we condemn the arrogance and derogatory nature with which she labelled all Ugandans, whose significant contributions and remittances have sustained the Ugandan government for over 33 years.

If the government had done its job properly, we probably wouldn't be abroad.

We deserve respect. We demand an apology.
