The Cal L&S Class of 2022 would like to formally request that Chris Pine, a Berkeley L&S graduate ('02), return as a commencement speaker for his 20-year graduation anniversary.  Chris Pine is a pop culture icon, especially in the eyes of our generation.  His time at UC Berkeley helped to kickstart his acting career (shoutout to Zellerbach!).  He motivates us to take risks, demonstrates the value of a Berkeley degree, and through his work in the Star Trek reboot, has inspired the Berkeley scientists of today to explore the technologies forseen by the series and loved by the fans.  Let's unify as Golden Bears to get this done.  Thank you and go bears!
