The CKC Dining Hall's rigid hours of operation often force students to push aside their classes, their work, and their clubs & activities to accommodate to an organization that operates only 5 hours out of the day. Clark Kerr is the only dining hall with these restrictive hours while other residential halls offer late night options, lunch, and late breakfast. We petition that Clark Kerr has Breakfast from 7 am - 10am, Lunch from 11:30 am- 2:30 pm, Dinner from 5:30 pm- 9 pm, and a late night option from 10 pm - 1 am. Not only would this reduce congestion at other dining halls but it will also help students get food without having to make a 40 minute roundtrip trek to Crossroads. For too long, students have been silent about this issue. Dr. Clark Kerr, the first Berkeley chancellor and 12th UC President, cannot rest in peace knowing this injustice is occurring within his halls.
