New York Tampon Tax ... exemption begins 9/1 #TweetTheReceipt

Friends! A quick heads up for all the New Yorkers in the house… The tampon tax law in New York goes into effect tomorrow, Sept. 1st. Please help us elevate social media around it! Here's what you can do: buy a box of tampons or pads, take a photo of the receipt – note the lack of sales tax with a red pen if possible! – and post on all of your social media accounts with the hashtags #tampontax and #TweetTheReceipt OR … if sales tax is charged (yikes), please snap and post those pics too and tag Governor Cuomo (@NYGovCuomo) and me (@jweisswolf), using the same hashtags. Even better, circle the sales tax on the receipt with a red pen and include the name of the store.
