Colorado Diaper Tax Bill Gets 1st Reading March 8 in Denver

We have exciting news from Colorado! A bill to exempt diapers from sales tax , HB 17-1195, has been introduced in the Colorado General Assembly and assigned to the Finance and Appropriation committees. The Finance Committee has scheduled a hearing on bill for the morning of Wednesday, May 8, 2017 at the Capitol in Denver. We encourage Colorado residents to support the bill by testifying in person or by submitting written testimony. The Nappie Project -- a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that children in Loveland, Fort Collins and surrounding communities have an adequate supply of diapers to remain clean, dry and healthy -- is among those scheduled to testify.
