One common perception that persists and is often used against vaping is the "gateway effect." Researchers from the University of Buffalo are challenging that idea. The argument often goes: Even if ecigs are safer than cigarettes, which they are, if they lead teens to eventually move on to cigarettes then they are bad for public health. Well, there is more and more evidence that the "gateway" is not happening. Catch up "public health" and start caring about the millions of smokers who could be saved by switching to vaping.
