Earlier this evening it was announced that Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein has appointed a Special Counsel to oversee the investigation into the Trump/Russia collusion case. He appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller. Director Muller was Mr. Comey's predecessor and served as the second longest FBI director after Hoover. There is a distinction between Special Prosecutor and Special Counsel that is actually a matter of law. The law no longer allows for a Special Prosecutor. The New York Times explained it very well so I will include that link for anyone who wants that clarification. He has the kind of experience we need. Early indicators are that he is incorruptible. That is very important since the Special Counsel still answers to DAG Rosenstein and could potentially be fired by Mr. Trump. Now we will, hopefully, be able to get some honest answers to what is going on. I will be keeping a close eye on things with reserved optimism. I wish that I could thank everyone who signed our petition personally. I can not tell you how much your kind words of encouragement have meant to me. I hope everyone is as please with these results as I am. Our efforts and the efforts of so many others have been moving mountains. Since we have achieved our goal, which was my primary purpose for traveling to Washington, I will probably be canceling my reservations. As much as I would love to make the March for Truth it is just not practical for me to spend that much money. With regard to donations already in the Fundraiser, Change . org is checking into the possibility of refunding them. They were not sure if that is possible. I will let you know. I want to assure you that if it is not, only a small portion will be used to cover Change .org fees and cancellation fees. The balance will be donated to the ACLU.
