In addition to requesting changes in international import laws of elephant parts, Wildlife SOS is leading the charge for changes in India as well.
Recently, Wildlife SOS joined forces with the UP Forest Department for an impactful Wildlife Crime Law Enforcement Workshop. This groundbreaking event focused on detection, prevention, and prosecution of wildlife crime, crucial for protecting biodiversity.
This workshop brought together nearly 150 judicial officers, advocates, forest officers, and police personnel from Uttar Pradesh and neighboring states, fostering collaboration and empowering officers to tackle wildlife crime effectively.
We hope to have similar conferences in other parts of the country in the coming year. Thank you for your ongoing support in saving the Asian elephant!
