This is another media story where they mention how important Esther's Law is and was to cameras in long term care. We originally tried to use Illinois camera law but it did not work for us or for any other state. Illinois made the governing agency to the camera law to the Department of Developmental Disabilities. The licensing agency in every state is the Department of Health, so all of the states that passed this law could not use the Illinois law.
