PETITION PROPOSED BY THE LEAVE FORESTS ALIVE FOUNDATION

Dozens of countries have already lost 90% of their native forests. High population areas such as Europe, eastern North America, and Asia have suffered the most. When trees are cut down, the carbon dioxide in it is released. When large amounts of forests are being cut down like they have been in the past years, they greatly contribute to global warming. Not to mention the habitat loss and consequential deaths of many innocent animals or the drying up of soil due to no trees protecting it. This cycle of death and destruction all can lead back to deforestation in one way or another, and would destroy even the human race with impossible living conditions, and the planet would become fully dead with little life anywhere on land. The stopping or at least slowing down of deforestation would greatly affect the environment positively by halting habitat loss and global warming, as well as many other issues created by this problem. "We the people" need to take a stand. Creating a bill that inhibits deforestation such as not letting companies make more than a certain amount of paper based on their sales would be a good example of something to make a change. The whole world is at stake, and we need to stop deforestation before it goes beyond the point of no return. The ignorance of most of the human race on this subject will eventually lead to the destruction of life itself. This change rests on our shoulders.
