I went to a fundraiser for The World Mercury Project for one reason alone, to ask Robert F. Kennedy, Jr if he would run for Mayor of NYC instead of me this year. I explained (in a hurry, cause there were others eager to talk to him) that In NYC alone, the Mayor has the Departments of Health and Education under his auspices (formerly Boards of...) and that it was a powerful position in exactly the way we would need it to be. Also, in NYC (not NYS), it is EXTRA difficult to get an exemption, so this too was an important item I had to bring to the table to entice him. We all know he would WIN if he did run. So much was riding on this brief conversation that would affect 8 million people (which includes adults and if you haven't heard, we're next). The answer; however, was "No". I was ashen, even though I could probably have expected that answer, it still hit me hard. Enter Jenny McCarthy. I hadn't expected to see her there and acted like a star struck kid when I did. She didn't mind apparently because even though I had invited EVERY PERSON in the room to my next STAND at City Hall in NYC (this time against the infant mortality rate linked to vaccination, our National disgrace) on May 15th at 1pm, Jenny was the only one who confirmed that she would be there. I was stunned and delighted as you might imagine! So, what are YOU doing on Monday, May 15th at 1pm sharp? If you're anywhere near New York City, I hope you will stand with us at City Hall and hold the Banner of a Child who was lost to vaccination. All are welcome to speak, but none are required to. You will enter the Steps of City Hall through a beeper for yourself and your bags. Banners provided and lunch too (if you are able to stick around).
