Friends, Neil Gorsuch has been confirmed by the Senate to be a Justice of the Supreme Court. He is likely to be as conservative or more as Clarence Thomas, and is also likely to be on the Court for decades. Gorsuch will be plagued by public suspicion that he’s not a Justice for all the people. He was put on the Court only after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell refused for 8 months to hold hearings on Barack Obama’s pick, Merrick Garland, and then only after McConnell and Senate Republicans changed Senate rules to allow confirmation by a mere majority and not permit opponents to filibuster. McConnell, meanwhile, will go down as one of the most viciously partisan Majority Leaders in history, who put party before the nation. That is why we need to IMPEACH him..
