I wrote about this when this happened. He fatally stabbed his girlfriends dog and tossed him down the trash chute. He is now married to this girlfriend and she has another dog. He has not been sentenced yet, but he is only going to receive 30 days in jail but only serve 14 days. He is not paying for his crime. That dog suffered before he died and did not ask to be treated the way he was. These laws have to be changed so bad for our animals to have any justice. These criminals must pay for their crime. How many animals must they kill first? Do they have to wait until they move on to a bigger object to abuse and/or kill before they pay? This petition is also to get rid of kill shelters, nothing against the employees but there are too many animals being abused and/killed for nothing they have done. It all needs to be stopped!!
