Did you know that there are nearly 1-2 million collisions per year involving animals and motorists? That number is staggering. I'm sure you or someone you know has hit an animal at some point. It's unfair to animals that our daily life interferes with their habitats. It would also save drivers and insurance companies tons of money and headache if we had safer crossings for wildlife. It seems like a win-win to me, animals get to cross busy roads safely and drivers get into less accidents and spend less money fixing damaged cars.
