Open Letter to Governors

Honorable Governors,

I implore you to examine this proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution, immediately, for ratification before an emergency convened Constitutional Conference of state legislatures.

Only 33 state legislatures are required to propose this amendment to the Constitution, while only 38 states are required to ratify this Amendment and, subsequently, remove the president from office. It can happen by July 4th under emergency declarations by a number of states when gathered in a Constitutional Convention, per the United States Constitution. I believe there will be bi-partisan support for this Amendment, if presented to the American people properly in an effort to safeguard our union.

The citizens of the United States of America require this final balance of powers to secure our lives, liberties and pursuits of happiness, as the framers of the Constitution could not foresee the pending Constitutional crisis at hand. Only you have the power to create the change that our country requires at this critical juncture in our history.

While this may seem redundant in the face of the 25th Amendment, the current administration has relentlessly used political cronyism to bypass the safeguards that the American people have attempted to secure against an abuse of power such as this. I, as many of my fellow Americans do, fear of a deepening crisis brought on by the pandemic sweeping across our world. Not only has our nation been unprepared for this national emergency, any pending international conflicts within our world may be met by the same egregious fallibility of leadership that has been shown to us thus far.

Upon ratification of this 28th Amendment, the current political party would still have control of the Executive branch of our government and the ability to demonstrate statesmanship in their approach to the crisis facing the American people. It is in no way an effort to disrupt our way of life, just to secure it for future generations of Americans.

Thank you for your attention to this all important matter. Your action today will secure our nation for all people of our great nation. Please, I implore you, this is our last hope in finding clarity within a broken system that we have pledged our lives to.
