I wanted to make sure you heard the latest news: the Families Against Fentanyl petition demanding that the federal government take decisive action and declare illicit fentanyl a Weapon of Mass Destruction has surpassed 10,000 supporters.

This is a major milestone in our movement, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your support — and your signature. Thank you!

Now, we need your help to get us to 25,000 signatures.

Sadly, chances are you know more than a few people whose lives have been impacted by the scourge of illicit fentanyl in the United States — a family member or friend caught in the throes of hopelessness, watching a loved one struggling with opioid addiction. The most recent data indicate that once the final numbers come are tabulated, more than 90,000 people will have died of an overdose in 2020 — a tragic all-time high.

Something major needs to be done…and done soon.

I don’t need to tell you — you already signed our petition, because you know that having illicit fentanyl declared a Weapon of Mass Destruction would be a game-changer: it would activate an all-of-government response to this crisis; it would open up new resources in the fight against fentanyl; and — most importantly — it will save lives.

Please consider forwarding this message to someone in your life who agrees with you and me that bold action needs to be taken on fentanyl, and ask them to add their name to our petition. It takes less than a minute, and it WILL make a difference.

Thank you for your dedication, strength, and service in support of a safer America.

Warmly,

James Rauh
