With Collier County approval of this first installment in the 45,000 acres of panther habitat slated for new development, federal intervention is now more important than ever.  Please share this petition with friends and encourage them to sign.  The Department of the Interior acting through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has the power to determine that this much development in the core breeding habitat of the Florida panther is likely to lead to the panther's extinction (or "jeopardy") and deny the project on that basis.  We need them to do that.
