Linda Reinstein and the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization

Sep 20, 2017
THANK YOU!
On September 18, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) submitted this petition bearing nearly 11,000 signatures to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This impressive list of signatories calling for asbestos to be banned will be entered into the EPA’s permanent record on asbestos and will inform their current risk evaluation.
On the very same day that we submitted this petition, we also issued a press release reporting breaking news that asbestos imports nearly doubled in 2016, after years of decline.
In light of this news, and due to popular demand, we have decided to keep the petition open to allow more of you to take a stand against deadly asbestos. We will periodically update the EPA as our list of supporters grows.
Please share this petition with your friends, and let them know why it is so important to you that asbestos be banned in America. While we fight this resurgent asbestos issue, your voice and activism are especially important. Thank you for being part of the solution.
