The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, will convene a full committee hearing titled “Pedal to the Policy: The Views of the American Auto Industry on the Upcoming Surface Transportation Reauthorization” on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 10:00 am EST.  (https://www.commerce.senate.gov/2026/1/us-automakers-to-appear-before-senate-commerce-committee)

In preparation for this hearing, the Soft Lights Foundation submitted a letter to the Committee, requesting that the Committee address the issue of costly and defective LED vehicle headlights. (https://www.softlights.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Jan-2026-Hearing.pdf)
